If you've never seen the Tour de France then this is an awesome opportunity. This summer the Tour de France comes within easy striking distance of Chateau de Pitray with a stage finish in the city of Bordeaux, followed by a stage start from the town of Libourne 12 miles from the chateau. That qualifies as our backyard.
Spend 6 nights at the chateau de Pitray in the beautiful Bordeaux wine country, southwest France, and attend the finish of stage 7 in Bordeaux, and the next day ride from the chateau to see stage 8 along the race course.
"What else?" you ask? Well, everything that the local region has to offer for a cyclist and food and wine enthusiast. Because when you're not at the tour you'll be riding the local roads and exploring the world renowned wine region of Saint Emilion.
